Welcome to my world. I am a wife, mother, aunt, full-time employee, avid crafter and aspiring cook. I am almost 50 now and am enjoying life. Let me break things down for you.
Wife – My hubby and I have been married for 6 years now. The best thing about our relationship…we like to spend time together. It never gets old, even doing simple things.
Mother – I have 2 teenagers. A daughter who is 19 and in college. And a son who is 17 and will graduate high school next year (2011). They have always kept me busy and my daughter is my partner in the kitchen.
Aunt – I have a great extended family. Four little ones that often visit my house. Boys, 8, 6 and 3 and then there is a new little sister that was born in December 2009.
Full time employee – I manage to do all the things I love and have a fabulous job too. I work for an equipment company as a product support rep. My duties are to make sure the customers are happy with what we do. Since I love to talk and meet new people, what could be better.
Avid Crafter - I love to piddle. I make little projects, cards, christmas decorations, stuff for the house, etc. And, of course, scrapbooks.
Aspiring cook – I’ll admit I’m not the best but I try and I am getting better all the time. I try new recipes and while sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t, I still enjoy being in the kitchen seeing what can happen.
I have always described by life as an episode of ‘I Love Lucy’, hence the name ‘Lucy and Me’. I usually leap before I look and sometimes even when I look first I still choose the goofiest way to go. I have learned to have fun with it, laugh at my mistakes (while trying to learn from them) and most of all have the people I love most right by my side through all the silliness.
Inspired by reading other blogs, I wanted to try it myself, so here is my effort. Thanks so much for reading.
